HeatShield R20 Radiant Barrier
Heatshield-R20 is a very fine white powder that is a combination of selected hollow ceramic microspheres that reflect and dissip[ate heat. When mixed with paint or coating transforms it into a radiant barrier coating which will reflect and dissipate radiant heat, reducing heat transfer through roofs, attics, exterior and interior walls, ceilings, or any other paintable surface that absorbs heat.
Radiant barriers work by reducing heat transfer by thermal radiation. These materials when applied to buildings reduce summer heat gain and winter heat loss.
This similiar ceramic technology was used to dissipate heat from the Space Shuttle upon atmospheric re-entry, preventing the shuttle from burninig.
